BE A CATALYST FOR LIFE
“With the high cost of living and our continuous endeavours to maintain a good quality of life for our residents, we are always in need of funds and financial help. We rely heavily on the private and corporate sector for this help. We are very grateful to anyone who can donate funds or their time and we are always looking for volunteers who can get involved and assist in the running of our four shops, or by simply visiting our residents.”
The Home embraces an entrepreneurial spirit through initiatives that generate funds or assist with ongoing costs. These projects include the onsite nursery, an irrigation system that uses bath water in the gardens, second-hand shops where clothing and white elephant items are sold to the public and various fundraising events such as the annual fête, bargain days and dinner dances.
Being a registered welfare organisation the Home receives a monthly subsidy from the government and most residents receive a disability pension that contributes to their monthly board. However there are still substantial costs that the Home cannot cover independently due to rising municipal, medical and staff expenses.
Financial contributions are therefore welcome and encouraged. By pledging your support you can bring about immeasurable positive change into the lives of the residents.
